Hello,

My own PC this time.

It started behaving oddly so I restarted it and now it will not boot windows, just hangs on the windows logo screen.

Cannot boot any Linux Live discs.

Cannot run memtest.

I have ordered a replacement S939 mobo.

Just would like some confirmation that this would be your first port of call too?

Did you try removing all but one stick of mem, then testing one stick at a time under memtest, isolate the memory from the issue. Make sure you test each slot with each stick of memory to make sure its not a slot thats gone.

This may as well be closed now as the new mobo is installed and everything is almost back up and running. Went with a new Vista install on a new 500gb HDD too :D
