Favourite Childhood Programmes

Thundercats, the Real Ghostbusters cartoon, Bucky O'Hare, Biker Mice From Mars, Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtles, Thunderbirds, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Count Duckula....the list is pretty much endless.

And wasn't terrestrial TV so much better when they showed Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes stuff, especially the Roadrunner versus Coyote cartoons? I can still spend a long time laughing myself into an injury watching the Coyote fall off a cliff :D

Some I remember watching:

Ren & Stimpy - This would be only shown after the 9PM watershed I think, so gross and disturbing that it was funny.

Rocco's Modern Life

Hey Arnold!

Cow & Chicken

Honourable mention: The Simpsons

Nobody watched Monkey Magic?

That was my childhood.

Wasn't he born out of an egg that looked like a massive sheep turd? There was that, and The Water Margin, though I can't remember much about that one.

The Machine Gunners was a pretty formative bit of TV for a lad like me, well into toy soldiers, Action Man and war films :D

anyone remember jayce and the wheeled warriors?

Its shameful that this is post 24.

I'm wondering if there is any point trying to accumulate all the great shows I used to watch as a kid on DVD for my kids. Jayce, bucky o'hare, dinowarriors, Duckula, transformers, he-man, centurions, etc etc. All seem even now better than the new stuff.

Just seen the complete Count Duckula set for £15.39. That's got to be a steal.
