Favourite Christmas Song

Fairytale of New York - The Pogues.
Classic.

It's up there with the best, that's for sure! I don't know if I could single out a favourite. As well as The Pogues, I also like Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses and 2000 Miles by The Pretenders.

I like the one by Kevin "Bloody" Wilson but it's very rude ;)

It has to be Fairytale of New York by The Pogues, but only until about the 23rd December by which time it is totally played out. Too much of a good thing :(
Frosty the Pervert usually raises a smile :)

Jackson Five - Frosty the Snowman :)

Pretty much any song so long as they're in moderation though.. get flashbacks of when I used to work in a shop where they had 1 Christmas CD on constant repeat for 3 weeks, 12 hrs a day!

Nice to see so many votes for The Pogues. Such an under-rated band who produced fantastic songs for years while sticking a few fingers up to to the mainstream music industry.

Fairytale Of New York is one of the finest festive songs ever produced and although it isn't the usual cutesy, cuddly Christmas song it is loved by almost all. Such a travesty when the BBC refused to accept it as a number one even though it sold far more copies than the Pet Shop Boys cover of 'Always On My Mind'. It just wouldn't do to have Anglo-Irish anti-hero such as Shane McGowan on the top spot, especially after he screamed 'this is s****e' mid song while on TOTP because of his frustration over not being allowed to play live.

Other Christmas favourites -

Dean Martin - Let It Snow
Boston Pops - Sleigh Ride
Greg Lake - I Believe In Father Christmas
The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping
Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry
Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

Never heard that rumour about the Pet SHop Boys being fixed at xmas No1.

Mine has to be the Coca Cola advert, The Holiday's are coming. That's the start of the festive season for me. Unfortunately they changed the ad this year.

But the Pogues everytime when I'm out for a few!!!
