I agree, women just aren't very good at stand up. That's not saying that they can't do comedy as there are some great shows written by women, it's just the stand up side of it. I think the male view of life lends itself more to it.

It's a little like engineering, women haven't got the brain wired up for it. I have only ever met one good female engineer and she used to be a man! :eek:
 
Cant remember her name, but the act involved a monkey puppet humping a pint glass. She was good.

I think most women are smart enough to realise stand-up is a masochistic sort of job, and just stay out of it.

Miranda Richardson

They're all pretty funny too. Miranda Richardson isn't a stand up, but she always cracked me up as the queen in Blackadder II. There are probably loads of good female stand up comics, the men just overshadow them.
