Ferel/Stray Cats... what to do...

God knows whats going to happen with them, I dont think our rotty would like to have them in the house, and I didnt think that you could train ferel cats?

I'm getting no response off the charities at all, poor showing I think.

We used to have some ferals when I was young as we had stables and outbuildings etc and the local RSPCA used to place feral cats with us. We ended up with quite a few, they were always a bit mad. You can domesticate the kittens but the adults are quite wild. People still rehome them though, friends of ours have a couple as they have land and buildings so the cats can come and go as if they are 'wild'.

Is there any way to catch them, they can spread feline leukemia and cat flu as they won't have had their jabs, so it might be worth seeing if they look really healthy as if not the charities might come and take them on those grounds.

I'm sorry Stelly, but every time I browse this thread I end up with images of a prowling animal with a certain comedian/actor's head and it's doing my nut. So, it has to be done:

FERAL

There must be some kind of charity doing a a TNR (trap, neuter, release) scheme locally?

Try asking on here, someone can probably put you in touch with someone: http://www.catchat.org/

They can be turned around but it takes time and patience. It's probably easier to get them rehomed as ferals. they're gorgeous looking cats I must say.

Point proven

Rather obvious, no? Tis like posting at the start of a thread about Travelers "I bet I'll see some comments calling them '******' and stories about them thieving"...

Amusingly enough bitslice seems to have got all worked up yet again :D
