Ferrari F430 replica kit car - stunning example

I struggle to understand the mindset of people who do this and think it's good, how detached is it possible to be from reality...

Now, you see this is my issue too. It's the ultimate version of putting an M5 badge and quad pipes on a 525d.
Those who know about cars will spot it a mile off and thus think the owner is a knob. Those who don't know or care enough about cars to spot a "replica" won't care anyway.
A prime example would be a girl at my work. One of my colleagues just got an E92 M3 Cabrio and when it was shown to this girl she exclaimed "Wicked! Is it a 320d? They're well quick".

A 520d will probably look just like an M5 to someone who doesn't really take interest in cars, which is fair enough. However, in this case, I don't think ANYONE would have trouble knowing that's not a real Ferrari, unless they're blind. :p It is absolutely awful.

Worst kit car ever - Check.
Worst 406 Coupe ever - Check.
Worst wrap ever - Check.
Worst advert ever - Check.
Worst etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc (Said in the voice of Yul Brynner in the King & I)

Looking at a seller's feedback can be interesting.
This project looks to have started in 2010, with the sale of some of the bits removed from the car. Then the buying history shows lots of purchases related to the vehicle.
The roll of carbon fibre vinyl was bought December 2011, maybe wrapping it seemed cheaper and easier than painting it, and hey, it might magically cover up some of the imperfections!

Well, apart from the obvious (colour difference) they look almost identical...except a few points...

Poor 406 Coupe :(

Indeed, i quite like the 406 it has a nice elegance to it, for a mainstream coupe
