Just watched this last night for the first time- so much better than these modern 'teen/ high school comedies' which are just blatantly about trying to get as much sexual innudendo and flesh on the screen as possible

Anyway, are there any other films in the same ilk worth checking out?

Thanks

John Huges is a teen/family movie god ! :D

I have sixteen candles, breakfast club and weird science boxset from HMV a while back for £9.99. Probably one of the best £10 i've ever spent.

Van Wilder was the biggest pile of turd I'd seen in a long time when it came out... Thanks for the other suggestions though :)

I actually think it has been the last decent 'teen movie' I've seen

The Breakfast Clib is the same sort of era and although not directly as funny it is still a pretty good watch. If you haven't watched Animal House then I'd also suggest it and even Van Wilder: Party Liason which is a relatively new film but quite funny. :)
The Breakfast Club seconded here - great film :)

Great film, however rather dangerous when it comes to playing the drinking game "...Bueller, Bueller, Bueller...".

I hated fast times, it pretty much sucked. I know thats against popular oppinion though ;) I do love Ferris etc however.

Good films in the same mold:

Goonies
Ferris Buellers day off
The Secret of my success
Breakfast club
The Sure Thing (bit more adult)
Uncle Buck
Trains, Planes and Automobiles
The Great Outdoors

You get the idea. Hughes made most of em ;)
