Few questions about Jailbreaking.

Hi, so what exactly does it do provide a extra Icon that allows you to download apps that have not been pre-approved by apple? So is it legal/do apple mind if you do it (Like they won't screw you over if you did it somehow).

Also if I was to jailbreak, then a new update comes out I sync my iphone to my PC will that erase the jailbreak icon and all the jailbreak apps?

Yes it installs Cydia so you can DL un-approved apps some of which are very good .

No idea if Apple mind but who gives a **** im paying £800 quid for the phone over 18 months I'll do whatever the hell i like with it.

If you update it will un-jailbreak the phone.
