Hi,
I have currentley got a e6300 being cooled by a AC pro7 using the paste with come with the AC pro7. I just tested my system with the pro7 to see what temps were like. I just want to know what you guys think is a acceptable temp for a stock e6300 running 24/7. Used orthos to test the cpu (both cores) at 100% usage. And coretemp to read temps. And easytune5 to check fan speed. Temps are as followed.

33c @ 2800RMP idle.
48c @ 2800RMP load.

40c @ 500 RPM idle.
51c @ 900 RMP load.

Running at 2800 was very loud. Where as under 1000RMP was silent. I want to be running this pc 24/7 will these temps be acceptable ?.... also how much overclocking possability may i have with this cooler. Should be getting AS5 when i order media case ect off ocuk before christmas :).

My E6400, DS4 & AC7Pro idles at 33C & 920rpm and peaks at 48C & 1600rpm under Orthos. How do you have fan control set in the BIOS? Try setting it to Auto (or Legacy) and PWM and see what that does for you.

It's the setting after Auto that matters as that sets the method of fan control. As you've got a 4-wire fan you should set it to PWM and the fan speed will then adjust with temperature. Voltage will also work but PWM is recommended.
