Hi all, I am using MediaPortal for my HTPC, and have some uncompressed DVD mpegs with both AC3 and DTS audio. I suppose this should also apply in MediaPlayerClassic since the codecs are used for both.

Is it possible to make FFDShow choose the DTS over AC3 where available ?

Anyone any ideas ?

Im NOT using AC3Filter or SPDIFer at the moment, as everything seems to go **** up when i try to use them, and apart from this, its working as I want it to at the moment. Though Im not averse to if required.

Thanks

There's no way to set the stream priority so it does them in order, you'll just have to go to all that trouble of pressing "A" of checking what's available through the menu.

Sorry, MPC only sees the one stream, AC3.

PowerDVD is the only thing that seems to see both streams, and can switch it in PowerDVD. However MediaPortal using PowerDVD audio codec cant switch (afaik) with MPEG, though is fine using Hallai(sp?) splitter, which adds an option in the menu.

Is anyone able to see any light here ?

Oh so you're playing the VOB's sans structure?
Disable MPC's internal MPEG splitter/source filter in favour of Haali which will work and you'll be abel to flick through as normal via Play > Filters and Navigate. You may need to add Haali as preferred under external filters and possibly even reinstall it with the correct settings.
And upgrade to MPC homecinema if you haven't yet.

Actually even with the internal filters you can play the different tracks via Play > Filters.
