FFVII coming to Steam?!?!

It happens depending on the way you play and number of times the Limit Breaks are used.

You unlock Cross-Slash after using Braver 8 times, and Blade Beam comes after killing 80 enemies, and due to my power levelling, I guess that's why.

Bizarre. I thought it was supposed to have Steam achievements. I'm not buying unless it's on Steam!

I really wish they would not only remake the old final fantasy games and put them on steam, but develop the new ones for PC too. I don't own a PS3 or Xbox and I really miss games like final fantasy, FFVIII was the last I played (not including FFXI) and the games are simply amazing, and one of the few games where the music alone completely sets the mood and changes the feeling of the game.

Both FFXII and FFXIII/FFXIII-2 could look awesome on PC if they do the port right.

FFXII could easily have been one game they should have done, and with some of it's battle mechanics being similar to the Knights of the Old Republic games, it would have fit in well with PC players who like RPGs.

And for the FFXIII series, I just want to see how well the Crystal Tools engine could have been on PC. Should it have been optimised well, a nice 60+fps experience that would have blitzed the console versions.

One can only dream.

Today's update of the PlayStation Network Store has a lot of Final Fantasy goodies at really great prices, so if you haven't yet, grab the PSOne Classics and the PSP remakes for cheap.

I'm afraid you're wrong there fella! There's no 'maybe' about it.

They won't do that, same reason that Capcom won't remake the original Resident Evil's; it'd make them money, and we all know they hate making money.

Would the game have HD graphics and different game mechanics or is it the original game?

It would be the original game, if priced at £7.99 as in the article.
