I did see that, but it sounds like any car without these systems is basically guaranteed to get a very low score. I’m not saying the Panda would be a 5 star car otherwise, but I highly doubt it would have got 0.

That's how it works yes, it neither has systems to help you avoid a crash nor does it do well when it does.

My 2010 Panda is much safer than my first car; a 1600 Triumph Vitesse that rotted its rear outriggers every two years. Volvo 760 Estate was ok but where the heck were the corners? In the Panda, 65k coming up, 60+/gal at 60mph, £30 road tax, park on a postage stamp, towbar to stop S8 s rear-ending me, life is simple. Drive with care. In a car that was previously super safe. Almost my most favourite car :cool:
Panda- same floor pan as Ford Ka?
S8? weren't they derated S7s with BSA forks;)
