Fiat Seicento 899cc

Didn't know we had so many former seicento owners here... I learned to drive in a 1.1 Sporting. Took it to an ocuk meet long ago as well, we met at a place called Pant on the Welsh borders and drove the horseshoe triangle if I recall correctly :D

Do we have many meet ups ?

i would be interested in that sort of thing once driving.

Oh and speakers, i need to take them out tonight and see if i can find replacements or the cables have come loose

What could they genuinely do though rodenal - there simply isn't space in that footwell for much more than that! :)

Make it any wider to the right and you won't be able to push it right down (and with the 899 engine, you push it right down a lot). Make it any wider to the left, and anyone who isn't wearing ballet pumps (or indeed, anyone who isn't actually a ballerina) is going to end up catching it when trying to get onto the brakes.

You ever drove a vauxhall corsa 1999... Tested one of them and I kept catching the brake...

Im going to have to find something as its too small

My wife had a 1.1 sporting in red. Bought new for about £5-6k (Irish import) :D and she only did about 45k miles in 10 years.

Things to watch, we had a leaky radiator and a leaky fuel tank towards the end which needed replacing, (italian steel and welding). Electrics were a little basic, but overall a nice little car which was a bit different.

She traded it for a 500 in 2010.

Hahaha matt

This thread as helped me so much so far, one last thing

So the company I have looked at for provisional insurance is cheap but full licence they are expensive, does anyone know if insurance companies charge if you want to cancel and move to another after passing test.

Thanks

Basically fluxdirect is £450 provisional but over £1000 with full licence

Young drivers only is £750 full licence

You're buying an annual policy so if you cancel it in that time you'll be refunded the amount you havent used, less an admin fee normally. If you're paying monthly, they'll work it out and normally you'll have one small payment to make in the month you cancel.

I wouldnt worry about it too much but if you can find one who's cheap enough for both situations then it'll save you some hassle

Thanks all, now insured , £750 for provisional license , i also did a full license quote using website and it might be £550 :)

well happy , time to tax wooop

Good good.

Now, do try not to crash it/get crashed into. To say that these things don't hold up well in an accident would be understating the issue somewhat:

:D

I'm not going to watch that video for a while thanks,

I taxed, insured today and just been up to a family member house with my dear mother lol

So clunky compared to my driving instructors car.

I had this as my first car:

Absolutely loved it at the time, just don't expect it to be lightning quick! The only issue mine ever had was the handbrake constantly needing adjusting. They're very easy to work on though if you're that way inclined.

Unfortunately these things are so light it's not difficult to do even if you've got your handbrake on, I speak from experience :D
