***FIFA 10 - PS3 10v10 Clubs***

At the minute, I'm not exactly sure how club works this time around.

1. Does your VP's assigned position mean you can only play as that pos in club?
2. Will we end up with loads of VP strikers?
3. Will our ratings be good enough with this new stat building jobbie?
4. Do VPs replace the team's original players?
5. What happens if you need to sub a VP?


These are the questions that remain unanswered and will likely majorly affect how club is managed this time around.

What we do know though is there is now a Dressing Room and 3 individual Match Rooms where you ready up for a game meaning we can have a different room for different groups of people and have a couple of games going at once so we shouldn't have such a problem with position availability this time around.

We may get two groups going tonight depending on who is on. Not sure how we'll divide up the players though.
 
Asked these questions on the FIFA forums and was told that yes, your position chosen for your VP is his position in club and should play there for normal stats. Also, NONE of the team's normal players (Rooney, Torres etc.) are present. Instead, they are randomly generated. :rolleyes:

Between lag caused by the mass of players and EA's ancient servers and the PSN log out issue, some of us decided to wait a few days till these issues are sorted/interest dies down a little.

I enjoyed the games we did play though. We won both of ours I think. Opposition left both times before the end of the game.
 
I don't think there are any issues with how it's set up now tbh.

The two games we played in Match Room 2 yesterday, we controlled the play.

I was ANY for both games and I honestly didn't feel any difference using the random generated players. We managed to spread the ball about well and create a few chances.

I'm actually liking the new system. It's just the lag and PSN issues that I want sorted now.
 
I noticed you were any players and were switching players all the time. Really helpful for when they played through balls and we needed a CB to muscle their ST off the ball.

I thought we did pretty well in all.

Yep. One thing the CPU can never do is anticipate a through ball. I like to keep one defender as far back as possible without playing someone else onside.

what rating were your defenders? You dont think there might be a problem for a bunch of defenders of 50 - 60s vs attackers in the 85s ?
btw could you make subs? change form & positions the VPro players were in?

Not sure on that. Beenom was captain for the first game and JoJo for the 2nd.

But I did play ANY for both and had no problems containing their strikers.
 
Psn'd you twice lastnight Skippi but you never got back to me, when you guys next playin? noticed my name was down for the team on the 1st page of thread, but no invite yet :-(

I didn't get any message. :confused:

I sent out friend invites for all those on the list and added whoever I could to the club.
 
Just not that interested in the whole VP aspect where you have to level up your stats for a specific position (like an RPG) just to be vaguely half decent and then rely that all your team mates do the same and that the CPU generated team mates are half good (which will mainly be defensive players and we know how difficult it is to defend as it is in Club) and then hope the opposing team havent bought perks to inflate their stats (lets be honest at the sharp end of the game they all will be - considering 09 Club performance I expected us to be near there, but not now)...

Perhaps Im looking into this too much but there was nothing wrong with 09 Club so I dont understand why they just didnt follow 'If it aint broke, dont fix it' motto. The whole VP idea is interesting, I agree, but I would be surprised if all of you prefer it over the 09 Club - I want to be Torres/Rooney etc and score goals in the team with my mates, offline BAP was more than adequate for me to pretend to be a player and rising up the ranks...

So VP is a great idea as a single player thing for me, but I just dont think it will work that well in 10 Club, especially as a casual thing...

Thats aside from the networking issues we are having with PSN dropouts and lag...

P.S. What camera were you guys using? I assumed I would use the Tele one wiith my custom changes as per all the game modes but found it was different (was just normal Tele I think)

Poly, I'd suggest to wait till the PSN issues are sorted and give it a chance playing with the regulars from 09.

Although I understand what you're saying, I really didn't feel much difference in Club last night in terms of player performance. I'm sure Beenom and Jonny will back me up on that. And the stat building isn't a permanent thing. It's all down to form. You have to complete the accomplishments regularly to keep your stats steady.
