FIFA 11 2 Player Coop Online?

Thought it was possible. Think you have to create a lobby for online teamplay. Name the lobby 2v2. Get your mate and someone else to join. Both you and your mate choose the any position on the same team. Away you go!

You could maybe do it like that, but he's talking about a standard pro ranked type match with two player on one team and one player on the other. Unless you're organising it properly and you know your opponent as well as your team mate in which case, like you say you can make an online teamplay game although I'm not sure if you can make private ones of those, I sold the game way back a few months ago. I'm pretty sure that you can only have one ANY player at a time as well, as it counts as if one person chooses it then it's greyed out for the other person and non selectable. Meaning one player is only in control of one man and the other player is in control of everyone else.
 
If you're talking about just playing as a regular team (NOT VP) with you and your mate on one team then there are online lobbies specifically for this. Online lobbies/game lobbies -> Game modes -> 2vs2 (Someone's bound to have made a 2vs2 room already since its popular).

Of course 2vs2 rooms are just online team play games so plenty of people don't understand "2vs2" and join the same room as everybody else making it "3vs4" or something like that. :/
