It's mad how poor La Liga is, Casemiro was good last year, atrocious this. I just realised Kondogbia was H/M, his attacking skills are pathetic, he's a unit at CDM.

Kondogbia scores his fair share for me from cdm. Over 200~ games each with Pogba and him they scored roughly the same amount.

Bale and Neymar so good in a front two though, 68 in 84 for Neymar and 55 in 60 for Bale.
 
It's almost worth quitting the game when you play someone is competent at timed shooting, who thought they could have implemented something so much worse than the low driven shot in 18!

I really want to like this game, I do like it, but longevity wise I'm sure I will have had enough soon. The shooting physics and keeper positioning element is just tragic.
I was 3-1 up in a game this evening, 10 game minutes later, and 4 opposition shots later, I am 5-3 down, all goals from timed finesse outside of the area. The game was comfortably won.
A football game should not be about moving the ****ing keeper! Remember when you would play the old FIFAs and making a player shoot from 30 yards was good defending (like in real life!).. Now you want them to run into your box to have any chance of not conceding a goal!

Absolutely ridiculous.

You've clearly not adapted to the game. I don't concede many timed finesse and I don't score many against good players. It's pretty obvious what is coming most of the time as people are very predictable. This makes it pretty easy to block or move the keeper to prevent finesse going in every time. Best thing you can do is learn it properly and it'll annoy you far less.

Main issue is 1v1s are too hard to score meaning timed finesse is the only shot to go for. Buffing 1v1 situations would see a more varied game imo.
 
I'm with Quin on this one, with any game you have to adapt if you want to win at consistent rate. Heck even back to Counter strike many years ago when I used to play there was play a winning way or have some fun with it and still win but not to the same consistency.

@Andybtsn if it is just timed shots which annoy you play 3 at the back narrow it down a bit in tactics you'll stop all but the most competent player. I played it for 100 games with whatever people call a normal squad and it was great defensively limited opponent to 4/5 shots on average most of those outside of the "D". When it came to attacking for me it was just a bit boring which goes back to my first sentence. If you want the instructions I used give me a shout, it certainly stop those timed shots :)

All is well in my team again bought 3 star men back in at 500k cheaper than before TOTY was announced pretty happy with that. Rewards in 24 minutes !

Go watch the video that hashtag Ryan put up late December and tell me it’s not cringe worthy watching all the finesse shots he scores with pretty average players.

I see players moving keepers and they embarrass themselves, it’s like a kids game.
 
Don't know how anyone can say timed finesse isn't still a thing, watching the latest tournament loads of them were flying in. They aren't that common lower down the divisions or against poorer WL opponents but the first time certain angle ones occur all the time the higher you go. Watching Gorilla do them against Tekkz and even when they were hitting the post he was getting the rebound luck.

Funny thing was he went on to get beat after having a 3 goal lead and the last goal, he moves his keeper and Tekkz just waited for him to do it before just putting it to the other side. It's an absolute mess.

Of course but it is a video game, but Youtubers aren't exactly the be all and end all. There is always going to be a way to score in a footie game its the same every year. As I said at the start of this years I promised myself to try and improve and bitch about/blame the game for losing :)

Its a far better game than last years and I'm enjoying it and relatively speaking I can hold my own with or without my icon squad. It's more fun with the latter.

You didn't answer the question though is it timed shots which annoy you or because the other player beat you? If it is the former its not impossible to stop. I concede moving the keeper is stupid:D

I really wish I'd recorded the footage to the game last night rather than me describing it. I don't throw my toys out because I lost that game, I'm probably one of the few who don't do that, it's the manner of the defeats.

For the record, my record is as good or bad as most on my friends list, I'll happily lose to better players but when it's as tedious as losing to constant long finesse efforts, I'll moan. Where is the skill anymore of actually working the ball into scoring opportunity. I could go play that way but I would get no joy out of exploiting awful shooting and keeper physics.

Son literally doesn't miss a timed shot. Imagine what Icons do when you play them, they don't miss!
 
Crap rewards for me. Totw is very seria a heavy this week.
Skrinaar is always hard to play against.
Having potm hazard and Potm lucas is good but it does mean I'm inclined to make a team around them as seems odd having them both on the bench. So many good lw this year in fifa. Fancy trying Douglas cost ucl card but I'd have to drop hazard

For the record I'm not disagreeing with you but your original post was more about how to stop timed finesse shots? I think when people refer back to the pros games its almost irrelevant as how many of us are ever going to play at that level? Once in a blue moon I've matched up with a Top 100 player but hardly ever. If it wasn't timed finesse shots people would be moaning about weak foot shots, unstoppable skill moves etc. My record isn't anything special as I tend to mess about in Rivals but in the weekend league I get Gold 3/2/1 depending on how many games I play and how serious I take it so I guess that's a respectable level where I should see decent players?

Out of interest do people prefer 17,18 or 19?
