FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

Just a few blinkered people on here mate. Credit where Credit is due, and club rivalry aside, you got to say sterling is in there on merit same as Wellbeck is. He does a job nothing and gives it 100%

I can't say it would've been a shocking suggestion, certainly would be now as he's been arguably the best on the team.

Lallana hasn't shown much, Barkley probably a bit more of an interesting choice than him or a Rooney but I guess he finally did something so hard to criticise.

Hart just stood there waiting, and got commended for it by the commentators. lulwut

Phil Neville's natural..............speech pattern is ............................starting to get really ......................annoying, and as he's so monotone................................... it's killing me.

I warned you all about Phil Neville earlier, the guy is depressing.

Insane goalkeeping from Hart at the end of the half too.

Need to sort out our defending down the left, and Gerrard has been totally absent. :(

One cross, albeit good, is not enough of an output. Would anyone else have found it that difficult to run in behind and put that ball in? Rooney should have been doing that all game, but he's not making those runs, and he keeps moving more central and wanting to play slowly. He's at his best making that run, receiving the pass, using his power and pass and he's always been a great crosser. I've said for 4-5 years since he was last used wide left, incredibly effectively, that he can be great there. He hasn't been looking to do what he did for the goal though, actually work the wing. He wants to get the ball deeper and pass it, which isn't his game at all. Run down the wing and he'll be a threat with great delivery as he showed with the goal.

If he makes that run more, we'll get more equally good balls in to the box and chances to score.

Sterling is a revelation. Proper player

Welbeck is having a great game too... he's not there to be an out and out goalscorer... the energy he gives is great

We just need to work out what to do with Rooney on the left now. I think i'd put Milner on that side... we'll lose a bit of creativity but I think we're creating chances elsewhere anyway...

Problem with Rooney is that he is one of the creative players. You dont want to see your Creative players facing their own goal and tracking back more than they are going forward.

Agree with Baz as well, Midfield two is struggling a bit. The Italians seem to always have the extra man in there

That's because they do have an extra man there.
