Fighting Fantasy

I had quite a few of these when I was a kid. Why they thought that the weak paper they made them from would survive repeated penciling in of stats and rubbing out, is beyond me! :p

Ahh yes, I forgot all about Lonewolf! Certainly the best series I played; I never did complete the whole story, and I might just go back and revisit them.

This tread has brought back so many fond memories. I loved the FF series as a kid, I think I had every book up to about the 50's. There were two brilliant support books atoo. I can't remember the exact titles, something from the "pit" and "Titan" I think.

I remember by teacher at the time mocking these books and telling me they had no educational value. What utter tosh, these books sucked me into reading, somethign which I still do today. So many people looked down on these at the time, but they failed to appreciate that the most important thing in getting kids to read is engagement.

Deathtrap Dungeon and its sequels (Trial of Champions and Armies of Death were favourites of mine), along with Forest of Doom & City of Theives. Fond memories.
