Film: Garden State

Yep really enjoyed Garden State, it is intelligent, uplifting and the subtle attention to detail is so expertly executed. I sat there thinking wow that is just so true.

If you can relate to any of the films underlying themes then I think you will find it hard not to like. Older or cynical people may not.

Has anyone seen The Last Kiss? I dont think it rate very well but i'm quite interested as not only is ZB involved, but the guy who co-wrote Crash and Million Dollar Baby. I really rated Crash, but i havent seen the latter although of course it won the Oscar(s).

How can anybody rate highly a movie which is in effect an english translation of a movie that was originally in made a few years before it? The original had a much better looking second woman.

Which film are you talking about? I know nothing about Million Dollar Baby, but i do know there was another Crash made in 1996 which has nothing to do with the one that won the awards

I am talking about the last kiss, which is a remake of "L Ultimo bacio" which translated actually means "The Last Kiss". The story line is exactly the same, and some of the scenes are even very similar (dinner with parents). I think the original was better.
