Finally, a Northern meet thread.

Well, i've finally found some time to organise a meet oop north lol. This is the first i've organised so any advice would be greatly received, but i've pretty much got the basics covered and will add more details if and as needed.

Meeting place, date & time

The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge (YO62 7LQ)

Sat 6th June, 11AM - So hopefully nice weather

11AM - Meet in the Lion Inn carpark, meet and greet etc.

12PM - Lunch in the Lion Inn, i'll book at a table closer to the time when i get an idea of numbers attending.

1.30PM (or after lunch) Drive to Pickering, North Yorkshire,

Overall, about 40 miles (subject to change if needed), Once in Whitby, we'll park up, though at this time of year we'll probably have to pay to park in one of the car parks, but we'll stop anyway and chat etc, maybe go get some fish and chips if you're hungry, after all, that's what Whitby is famous for. apart from that, i'm not sure what else happens on a meet lol, so as above, advice would be appreciated

265 mi – about 4 hours 40 mins

So I'll definitely be staying up either the night before or after the meet.

Ohh and it's worth noting that people should drive with a little caution on this meet, and not get too close behind anyone.

I've not looked too much into the route planned. But a lot of the surrounding roads certainly have blind crests and corners along with the odd sheep dotted around. Having said that, they're still a blast to drive on and there are nice open stretches too
