Honda Hornet CB600F

Pic of it Just arrived at home and getting taken off the trailer.

More pics to follow.

One thing is odd though, it's a CB600F4 which is a 2004 model but it's registered in 2006 in the log book, of course hpi checks out and vin does too, just thought it was a little odd! could have been sat in Honda factory storage for 2 years ?

Not many mods planned tbh, just changed the indicators and maybe put a small fly screen on.

edit, new kit ordered too!

Wow, low.

I though my 2005 was low at 9,300 when I bought it!

Looks good in white. Belly pan to finish it off

Yes now you mention it, it does need one :)

Hornets are great, apart from the woeful tank range. I might have had one as a first bike if it wasn't for the tank range.

Yep, around 100 miles to a tank I think? and there is no fuel gauge, just a light that tells you to fuel up asap lol

Just went out for a short ride to fuel up, still waiting for some textile trousers to arrive so braved it in jeans (don't normally ride without the full gear on), still had my hein gericke jacket and gloves from back in the day

Your right , low revs/speed there is no torque, but open the throttle and bloody hell.

First time I've ridden in 6 years , used to have a 600 bandit restricted so this feels a lot different!

I love the seating position, perfect for me. The sv650s was another bike I was looking at.

Nice mate! I'm already on the nest forum, it's very quiet on there though

Mine would do 120-130 per tank quite easily.

Good choice btw, same year as mine as well :D

My daily commute per day is 12 miles so should be ok.

Just ordered some LED indicators with the led relay and clear tank pad, ear plugs and a 8x6 rear plate.

Ah you were contemplating a 125 or scooter weren't you in another thread? Good decision! :D

Where's your commute from/to out of interest?

Haha man I had a hell of a week deciding what bike to go for. Sleepless nights, endless emails to sellers, constant on eBay, auto trader and gumtree.

I was set to go see a sv650s yesterday. Was chatting to the seller via email for around 2 days then he went quiet for 2 days, no emails, so assumed he wasn't interested in selling, so I moved on...:D

must have been fate

Commute from Cheadle to Chorlton

well, an update, a got a few bits and bobs coming for the bike, (8x6 plate, LED indies)

the clothes arrived, the helmet and gloves are awesome

the Blade jacket was just a little on the tight side and the trousers were too long, so sent them back for a different size

also the boots were a bit meh.. so sent them back for some alpinestars smx5

so as a result ive not been out much on the bike yet as i jumped the gun a bit and got the bike before any of my gear lol, im not one to ride in just normal jeans so will wait for the gear to arrive

Popped into J&S Manchester yesterday and wasn't impressed with the selection of clothes (only a small store), i may go to the Northwich store on the weekend

in the interim i have been been keeping an eye on ebay and there are a few bargains to be had on there, but its bit of a gamble buying gear and it not fitting..
