Finally got round to buying the Benq XL2410T 24" TRUE 120Hz 3D Widescreen LED Monitor

have you had any flickering issues with the ben q since using it ? its eaither my screen orcomputer not sure which time for a full computer format i think meh

The Senseye can bugger up the contrast and the gamma if that's what you're after. ;)

I saw a video about that feature and they made it sound like it was somethink special for gaming. I just setup my asus monitor that i mite keep now as i found a way to get passed the dark game characters problem.

Took some pics of the problem. This is on fallout new vegas

Thats on gamemode with brightness set to 90 and contrast 80. default is 100/90 i think. And this is what happens when i set night view mode which is 90/80

Game mode and night view mode both use 100% same settings so i guess night mode has been optimized some how. Even the room felt like it was more well lit.

Also about this comment
I have seen some new ASUS monitors (non 3D) in the past - if these experiences are anything to go by I think I know where NathWraith is coming from. There is nothing wrong with a nice bit of image vibrancy but some of the colours just looked plain wrong and out of place (a bit like they were painted on - kind of like Nvidia Digital Vibrancy cranked up too high). I can't comment on the VG236HE specifically though.

I think i know what you mean like greens and reds will seem to bright like paint? Thats how it looks on defauilt game mode because of the high brightness but aint a problem if brightness set to 50 etc. But if you wanna use high brightness without geting this problem then theres a saturation option where default is 50. Set it to around 35-40 and this problem go's away

Shame you cant review the asus because i be intrested in how you find it compeared to the benq :)

It looks as if that mode adjusts the gamma - it can be thought of as a 'quick fix' but in terms of the affects on the image it's an imperfect solution. You can see on that last picture that detail is crushed by what appears to be excess backlight bleed-through. The gamma adjustments made mean that although it lacks the kind of subtle details it should have the 'brown hat' can still be made distinctive from the 'blackness on the wall' (despite neither being represented optimally). I would also try adjusting (lowering) the contrast manually - using this as guidance, to see if you can improve things yourself. The presets on the BenQ kind of do this as well but it's a lot less subtle and it makes the image look poor, quite simply.

I would very much like to review the ASUS (and upcoming ASUS models) so I have pulled a few strings with some contacts to see if something can be arranged.

What makes the BenQ more sweeter then the Asus if you mean the Asus VG236HE?
I just RMA mine and asus replaced it with a brand new one that i aint opened yet, So im thinking should i sell it and get the Benq like i first planed

I had 2 Benq XL2410s. Both had horrendous backlight bleed and poor colour/picture quality. I settled for a refund and am waiting for the new Samsung 120hz monitors to appear.
