Got myself an 27" Acer Nitro 165hz IPS screen :) Only 1080P, but figured it was worth it over the AOC 144hz non-IPS 1440p screen.

Fastest screen I've had in the past is 75hz I think. An old Iilayma LCD I really liked.

Seems like there is a difference coming from my 60hz HP, but I don't have them side by side.

*note: I settled on a 1080P based screen, because I have an RTX 2060 and pushing frames at 1440p in FPS games a 2060 is not going to hack it. If I had a 2070/5700 or better I would have got the better res screen.

Yup 1080p isnt bad either its still the main used resolution on steam. You can do 4k 165hz also just tick DSR x4 box only, Below the smoothneas needs to go from 30% to 0% and games should all see it as an option now.

You will see in Diablo 3 like me listed your main res at 1080p 165 and below now will show 3840x2160 165hz. If the UI doea not shrink x4, and the game runs on lowish near 140fps you will quickly find it spoils you and clears up everything. In world of tanks i need to see fallen trees, I could spot a squirrel nevermind a tree and thats 1080p. Its more like a zero aliasing oil painting or something it looks nothing like native 1080p lol.

I will admit, I will still don't understand how the adaptive sync is meant to work, or if it is working lol. (Running freesync monitor with RTX 2060).

I will give DSR a try. I have been very vocal in opposition to it as 'not ready' and 'pointless', but I'll give it a try and see if I was wrong.

EDIT: So I selected x4 and 0% smoothness from nvidia UI. Should I also select 3840 res in windows now, or just leave it at 1080? EDIT2: Tried it in Apex Legends, set to 3840... there is minor difference and some textures were missing also.
