Finally Stopped Driving It To Wash + Pics

The reason why I said that simply fitting lowering springs is a bad idea is because in my experience, it is. I fitted lowering springs to one of my previous cars and the ride was horrible! It was very bouncy and just felt like I was driving on a bouncy castle all the time.

I think it's hit and miss.

Vauxhall Nova - Awful. It crashed and bounced like a pogo stick

Ford Mondeo (mine) - Fine. Absolutely fine.

Ford Mondeo (Kates) - Not bad, but not great. Put it down to more tired dampers than mine, it sometimes went light over poor surfaces at speed.

Ford Fiesta Mk1 - Brilliant, turned it into a go kart (this was cut original springs not uprated ones)

Golf GTI Mk2 - Fine.

Suck it and see!

I didn't add, which I'd of got one of these, insurance over the 1.5D was shockingly negligible.

Black would be my preference, but that red grill, does look rather tasteful :D

Althought this:

Cracking little cars these, think I'd be hard pushed to choose between that and the s1 rallye though, always had a thing for those - 1.3 100hp revhungry thing :D

Looks awesome. Really like GTi 106's.

Give it a treat and slam it a little bit. The lowering will make the wheels look 10x better imo.

I have a 106 rallye in the garage, i shall get some pics tomorrow.

Not sure I'd bother uprating the brakes unless you're tracking it regular; you'll only add more rotational mass which is likely to hurt the acceleration in the lower gears (something you're probably loving at the moment).
