Find me films as good as... Spirited Away

Ghost in the Shell IMDB Entry

Depending on who you ask it's either a thoughtful and involving piece of near future philosophy as deep as it is beautiful
or
a highly confusing sci-fi cartoon with less shooty bits than you were expecting.

I think it's great personally.

Your ultimate resource :D
Paprika is also very similar to Miyazaki's films (a bit more adult-oriented but similar in art-style), but it's not out on DVD for a long time yet and the only cinema reel of it to have ever been in this country was only here for 4 days and it left months ago... :o

Just finished watching Totoro tonight :D A cute film indeed! It seemed to end rather abruptly but the chracters in it were quite good (especially the bus ;) ).

Just watched totoro last night. Great film. If you fancy venturing away from movies, their are some incredible tv series. Inuyasha is amazing fantasy. Neon Genesis Evangelion for some very intelligent philosophical viewing. cowboy bebop.

I have also watched an amazing movie about discovering your dreams and going for them called whisper of the heart. The guy who wrote this film tragically died a few years after making it. it was his only film and well worth seeing.

watch anything by miyazaki and you wont be dissapointed especially mononoke

make sure you watch in japanese to get full effect
