Just putting the finishing touches to my comp (see my sig) and i'm about to buy the below. I'm going to get a graphics card, cpu cooler and ram cooling and i don't want to spend any more than around £250 for everything. I would like to know if you would substitute any of it for something equally priced. I need the Corsair h50 because I have a Matx case so i'm limited on space and the two 120mm fans are for push/pull.

I heard that the fan provided with the h50-1 isn't that great thats why I opted for two Enermax. But I guess I could save £25 or so on the Corsair and one of the Enermax's and get a better graphics card. Would the extra £25 make much of a difference in the performance of graphic cards?

Thanks for the links, quite impressed with the 5850 after seeing those benchmarks. Would you say the 1gb 460 cards would outperform the 5850's or would they be very similar?

I think I will drop one of the Enermax fans and the Corsair ram cooler in favour of a 1gb 460 card. Not sure if i'm allowed to say this but I will buying my goods from a different e-tailer as I will be saving about £30 (I get free shipping). It doesn't stock 5850's in the £140 range as with Overclockers but plenty of 1gb 460's for that price.

Really?? Must have changed since I ordered from them last :) the h50-1 is a little over £10 cheaper on the 'other' site. Each site seems to be cheaper on certain things.

EDIT: £9 difference to be exact!

You do not need the ram cooler. The h50 is not as good as cheaper aircoolers, and good god I thought noctua fans were expensive! You really do not need to spend that much on fans. I use apaches, noctuas, and a 140mm antec tricool- practical differences- nil. If the fan is noisy set it to run slower.

Think about it this way, if you got a thirty quid air cooler and a seven quid fan or two, you have 200 budget for a gpu, that is 560 or 6950 territory, and your machine will run much, much faster.

Your I5 will not run hot unless you are ocing to really high levels- you dont really need a top notch cooler.

In fact you could actually afford this;

The fan will be quiet enough and shift enough air, the cooler might actually keep the cpu at a lower temp...and well...460 v 480? Else if you really want silence check out the gigabyte 560@£209

EDIT- sorry just saw you need to get the h50, still have a look at clearance there might be something you can fit in thats a fair bit cheaper with comparable performance.

How about this abit more than £10 but the cooler is more than enough to get your cpu to 4.4-4.6 from what others have got, and the card is great and you can flash it to a 6970 So win win :D.
