Fireman Sam the Islamaphobe.

Yes like I said that's what it appears to me when watching I'm not sure what you are struggling with. Perhaps you perceive the scene different to me. The tabloids certainly do.

I'll spell it out. you know what the papers where because Penny said what they were. Why then did you conclude that the "one report that was left", the one Elvis slipped on, was a page from a holy book?

Penny calls it a report, you called it a page from a holy book. How, please, explain your train of thought? How did you get from A, bypass B, and arrive at Z?

As I said in motions that's how it appears to me, you having freeze framed it concluded no.
And as i've said, you dont need to freeze frame it. Watch it on netflix, it's in HD and besides which, this all started with...wait for it...an image taken from the scene posted to twitter! oh the ironing. If this all started with a freeze-frame, why can't i use a freeze-frame to disprove it?

Muslims care a lot about the symbol of their religion being mistreated. We know this. Therefore it is disrespectful to do something that we know is likely to upset them, such as depict it being walked upon. Especially given such a thing could only have come about by deliberate attempt.

That is fair enough, but don't you think that the response to cartoons depicting Islam in a bad way should just only be frowned upon, quietly?

Not lock and load ya'll, let's go kill whiteys.

That's what the vast majority of people are doing not saying lets go kill whiteys.

I know what she says, what's flung up in the air isn't what she says how hard is that to understand, that's the issue.

Neither is the news paper article that's also flung up. The article and the page form the Qur'an aren't show to be near the reports before Elvis trips.

I'm not sure you really know what your issue is - you keep changing it!

[..]
That said, I'm struggling to find a reason why this graphic should have been included in an episode of a children's programme and the explanation given - that it was intended to show 'illegible text' - doesn't wash, when it quite clearly and obviously resembles a page from the Qu'ran.

The simplest and most obvious reason is an animator (probably with an excessive workload) using an image taken from the net to save time. All they needed was an image of some text of some kind. It was only a few frames of a page knocked off a table by someone falling over. The animator could spend more time making the image themself or less time copying and pasting the first image of about the right size of a page of text that they found on the net.

Why do you assume that everyone in the world is familiar enough with both Arabic and the Qu'ran to recognise a page from it written in Arabic? That seems like a strange assumption to me.

In regards to the BBC, this is being reported on/trending more than the execution in Normandy yesterday which has now virtually disappeared, what gives ?

Well you see muslims who are the perpetrators of all these jihadi attacks throughout the entire planet always act like victims if the least little thing is said, Doesn't matter that muslims are killing many non muslims and the situation is getting worse and worse by the day, Nope, We need to be sensitive of the special feelings of muslims because they are incapable of controlling their own emotions so everyone else needs to do it for them.

Guys come on. Discussing the ridiculousness of the reaction to some text appearing in Fireman Sam is one thing, but we can do that without blanket the comments on Islam cant we?

Full statement, it seems the BBC have trimmed it down: http://www.hitentertainment.com/corporate/newsdetail.aspx?nid=162

The intent of the statement is clear. For anybody confused, Mattel own HIT Entertainment.

Snippet below take from the statement you posted :)

"We will no longer be working with the animation studio responsible for this mistake"

Doesn't anyone else think that considering this was a mistake then the above is pretty extreme action\punishment?

Why the actual **** is someone talking about the beheading Father Jacques Hamel in relation to this?

How is a mistake made by a production team, for which they have apologised for being compared to a man having his head cut off in an act of savage terror?

.

Seriously.

The comparison being made is that this mistake made by a production team has attracted more attention than and is widely portrayed as being more offensive than the murder of Jacques Hamel.

Going off the tabloids on the subject it appears the issue is with the treading and not simply just the depiction. If that's what the the tabloids are spreading you can hardly blame some being offended. If the reality is it wasn't I'm sure if everyone is privy to this then it wouldn't be a issue.

In motion it still appears that way, at best pages were on the ground in the pile which would probably still be irresponsible.

Still pushing the "treading on it" view then, **** facts though eh.

Why don't you believe the statement given out by the makers\owners instead of listening to the media?

If you are that interested in the truth then why would you not listen to what the source said in their statement. It has been posted numerous times.

It's just a generic apology, with nothing much to learn from.

I'm really not that bothered and have been calling for people to move along. I've stated many times they said they made a mistake and apologised that's the end of it.
