Firmware for Linksys Router WRT54GS

Hi folks,

I am currently running firmware version 4.50.5.

All seems to be ok, but I was on the linksys website and noticed a whole heap of firmware updates for my version (1.1) of the router.

Is it worth me updating? Sorry for the stupid question :rolleyes:

No reason not to update really, but if it's a v1.1 GS, why not look at some of the third party firmware that's around - it's not going to break anything, and it will add all sorts of features that you might find useful.

Ive been looking at SVEASoft firmwares. Anyone got any recommendations for any particular one to download specifically for my version of router of course?

I use Sveasoft, but Tomato's popular and free. www.linksysinfo.org is your friend.
