And what a cracker it was. I think it was probably the best airshow I have ever been to. Anyway here are quite a few pictures.

A few old timers to get started.

I hpe you all enjoy these. Any C&C welcome. I know the shutter speed was a little too high on some of these, but it is 9 months or so since I attended an airshow & I was a little rusty!

If anybody needs more then there are some here:-

Errr...

Whats happened to the colours on this one? It's a bit... purple...

The Royal Navy flypast I'm pretty sure I've seen with a 5th aircraft... the Swordfish.

Although..the Lanc... What a beauty. :D We're bloody lucky to still have the City of Lincoln still flying really.

That one is a lovely shot.

Will be good at the end of the year to see the Avro Lancaster and the Avro Vulcan flying at the same shows. :D

If only there was a Mosquito still flying. :(

Those stringbags take some very big brass ones to fly imho..

Yeah I managed to do something horrible to the colour on that one. Not sure what but it was getting late... I realy ought to sort it out.

The Mosquito is up there with the Vulcan in my list of planes I really want to see fly. Have you seen http://www.warbirdrestoration.co.nz/current.html#ka114 ?

Vulcan will be first flown later this year with NO annoucement. :D

They're planning to just do a taxi run and continue. :D

However...that Mossie  Know if it's going back to the air or static?

Saw one a few years ago - a week before it crashed killing both crew - but I was under the impression that it was the last restorable to airworthy condition one in existance!

There are quite a number that are potentialy airworthy airframes but I think that there are only a couple that could be flown without too much work. Kermit Weeks (sp?) in Florida has one. The problem with them is that they were made from ply which is starting to delaminate.

The guys in NZ have made a new set of molds so they can made a completely new fuselage & wings. The first trial went to a static restoration, but this one is destined for the air :). I think they have plans for 6 more...

This years line-up isnt that impressive looking at the airshow site, I can see the Eurofighter, Tornado or the harrier :(

EDIT: ignore, actually had a proper read of the line-up, they will all be there, woohoo!
