First attempt at macro photography

Just got my first digital camera yesterday (Canon powershot A410) so decided to have a go at macro photography in my garden (well an excuse for a garden really). I'm still in my infancy of digital photography so be nice

Not very happy about another purple in top left "blending" in kinda creating a distracting background.

This one could probably do with a bit more focus.

This one is probably too basic.

Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Not really what I would classify as Macro shots, the perils of using a compact means you can't really slap on a macro lens and get proper 1:1.
