Hi,

I'm posting this thread for myself and others to see stats and how a PC changes over time with tweaks.

PC is Dark Base Pro 900 Rev.2 case, Corsair RMX850, Asus X570E ROG Strix, Ryzen 7 5800x, 2x16GB Team Group RAM 3600, Samsung M2 evo970, Gigabyte Radeon RX590, Noctua D-15s CPU Coller and 3 SW3 BQ fans

I intend to do a few posts

1) Out of box stock
2) Hardware stock i.e. RAM at 3600
3) Auto OC features only
4) Full Manual
5) Best OC

I am new to this so this is learning for me. I have read sometimes the RAM speed can influence the CPU so want to learn how this RAM works and what I can and can't do before starting on the CPU. I also realise the best OC is manual but I am curious to look at Auto features. I realise their is probably a contradiction in bringing RAM to 3600 and AUTO only but that is where I'll be aiming as opposed to full manual.
The first post is out of box stock settings - just flashed the BIOS in build, loaded Windows, Bullguard, Cinebench and a couple of other programs

I've no idea how it will turn out but I hope I find it interesting and others do to.

I'll do a UserBenchMark and Cinebench R23 for each.

User Benchmark

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/38833156

UserBenchmarks: Game 67%, Desk 104%, Work 70%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 101.5%
GPU: AMD RX 590 - 61.4%
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 2TB - 389.1%
RAM: Team Group Inc. TEAMGROUP-UD4-3600 2x16GB - 77.6%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING

RAM is running at 2400mhz presently, clearly GPU is a weak point but am waiting for supply to catch up.

Cinebench R23 - 5800x @ 3.8ghz

Cinebench Single Core - 1591
Cinebench Multi Core - 15411
MP ratio 9.68x

Not sure if these are good. Single was top of list and multi was 4th but I do not know if it is ranking/last test etc. Images below.

I hope this is of interest to some, more to follow.

First step - Just upped the Team Group 8pack RAM to 3600mhz which is what it's sold at. Probably very straightforward but I got it on my 3rd attempt, 1st was my error on FCLK, 2nd I set the AI tweaker to manual thinking I needed it. I am very much learning as I go with zero experience.

Asus ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING Performance Results - UserBenchmark

UserBenchmarks: Game 69%, Desk 109%, Work 70%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 106.9%
GPU: AMD RX 590 - 57.8%
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 2TB - 369.5%
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 2TB - 404.1%
RAM: Team Group Inc. TEAMGROUP-UD4-3600 2x16GB - 104.7% (Increased from 77.6% at 2400mhz))
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING

Overall increased from 56th percentile to 74th percentile

The CinebenchR23 score remained unchanged on the Single Core, so I haven't bothered with multi.

I'll read up on CPU OC and post something in the next couple of weeks I hope.

I now have a Radeon 6800 XT so have run Userbenchmark

Asus ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING Performance Results - UserBenchmark

UserBenchmarks: Game 170%, Desk 109%, Work 174%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 106.2%
GPU: AMD RX 6800-XT - 160.5%
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 2TB - 394%
RAM: Team Group Inc. TEAMGROUP-UD4-3600 2x16GB - 105.6%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING

Overall increased from 74th percentile to 78th percentile which at first is disappointed. This is due to GPU being 45th percentile in it's range, however that range is from 154% to 173% and mine is at 161% so this is a clear case of misleading stats.

I'll have a look at upping the RAM and CPU next now it is running well.
