Looks like Google limit it to Android only.


Give Waze a try.
I heard Waze sends you on all sorts of weird and wonderful routes just to shave off a minute when like most folks you’d rather just stay on the motorway and slow down for a short period than go through backroads. Is it possible to disable or change the overly aggressive re-routing?

I've personally not experienced that but I only recently switched back to it from Google Maps.

Knew I wasn't going mad, as I say it was either os, I just couldn't quite remember which having had iphones for years too! Silly iOS don't get it though.
