OcUK is the first on what Asus are claiming as Frameless monitors, having used one today it is incredibly impressively and yes there is a bezel but it is hardly noticable and the sound quality is well shockingly good. Than factor in these are new AH-IPS technology that seem to give superb response times but have far better colours and viewing angles compared to a TN panel. In short I was amazed by this monitor and was expecting them to be around £400, so I was shocked when the pricing is as it is below:-

Not to put a damper on things but they use the same panels as the LG IPS7 series. There is an inner part to the bezel which some pictures don't show properly. Total width is around 10 or 11mm, same as the Samsung SA950 series.

But it is good to see these finally. I first heard and wrote about them back in June and was very pleased with how they were styled. Would be great if anybody who buys one here could say a bit about how they perform as well ;).
 
Design looks really nice on these. But as others have said the 27" model should have been 1440p minimum. If the 23" model was 24" instead I would have been tempted to buy one.
 
They are Poo, Why do i say this? Well for one i would want to use them in Portrate for eyefinity, But look at that massive bezel at the bottom. Eerrrm No thanks

100% agree.
In an eye finity setup (portrait format), these would be terrible.
Those Samsung monitors are where it's at.
 
I don't think these are aimed at eyefinity users, I think they are attractive office monitors with nice screens. Shame about the "fancy" 2W speakers included or it could have been a lot smaller.

I'm not sure I understand the "it's no good because it's not 2560x1440" argument, it's a £300 monitor, not a >£500 one. They're different products in different market sectors, leaving aside the cheapo Korean hit & hope imports, or Hazro (*makes the sign of the cross*).

I'd just think of it as an upsized "standard" 23" or 24" 1920x1080 monitor, and as such I can see it would have plenty of appeal to people for whom that resolution is perfectly sufficient, but would like something, well, a bit bigger (stating the obvious). I'm sure gamers who don't have the graphics firepower to run a 2560x1440 resolution will like it, it will obviously be fine for 1080p/i video, and for office/productivity work it will be appreciated by people who like to sit well back from their screens without having to squint (or who simply have less-than-perfect eyesight). From the reviews I've read of similar screens, the commonly expressed "ooh, it will have ginormous pixels" fear is unfounded in practice as well.

I have a Dell U2711, and whilst I do like the resolution and the desktop space it gives me, for my purposes it's more a luxury than a necessity, and there are times when the relatively small size of various screen elements can be a disadvantage. If I were in the market for a new monitor right now, I might definitely give this (or one of the equivalents using the same panel) some serious consideration. :)
 
It appears the thin bezel and built in speakers were intended for the desk-space limited in a office or something. Any gamer or person who watches movies at home on their monitor can't still be using built in speakers in 2012?

No 120HZ
27" should really be 1440p
Speakers, how many of us actually use built in speakers.
Get rid of those speakers & you have a thinner bottom bezel.

It's a shame Asus,Samsung,etc couldn't make a decent 27" 2560x1440 120Hz monitor at £300- £350.

Wow some people want everything for £300! It's 27" so it's not going to have 120 hz or that res for that price.
