Only 4 hours a week on [presumably] minimum wage? Jeez.
the current way retail is working. hire on a ridiculously low hour basis but then give extra hours "out of contract" (because you will say yes and need the money).
it means they dont have to bother giving you any benefits of the hours you do actually work (ie more paid holiday, rights if it comes to a sacking situation etc)
my missus has worked at a store for over a year now, works 6 days a week, full shifts and has only recently managed to argue for a 30 hour a week contract once someone had left. she was on a 6 hours contract and thus only "earnt" about a days holiday a year.
I would never dream of wearing a suit to a camping store interview.
ah who would want to talk to ramblers all day anyway .
HOW DID YOU MISS THE CHANCE OF MAKING THAT JOKE?
"I'd be glad I didn't get the job, I can't stand RAMBLING on all day to people".
lololololololol
as for the hours he said its 4 minimum on the contract, but you are likely to get 12 - 15 and up to 20 at £4.99 a hour.
well i would say my interview went well, i live near the peak district and i told him that last year i went up thrope cloud & this year i intend on going up kinder scout. also mentioned a few years ago i went half way up helvellyn. also that i went on the tissington trail last year and since then i have got a bike and use it often.. etc etc about camping, walking, airsofting.
overall i think it went well, answered the questions well, came across keen because i am! but i was let down by my zero retail exp he also asked if i had til exp which i don't. i got the impression he liked me and i was suitable but wanted someone that could just be thrown into the role with no "training".
he explained the contract, wage, uniform, hours, if i had holidays - which i dont and if i was flexible - told him i was etc. surely thats a sign that i was a strong candidate
