The Card Is In Production according to the Nvidia CES Press Conference!

Its been in production for 6 months though. At the moment its still waiting(supposedly) for A3 samples to get back, they are still producing cores, but those will be in the lower hundreds in numbers, no where near enough for anything but a joke launch. IF those cards work fine finally, then it goes into mass production and thats 6 weeks from first wafer going through to the first cores being ready, 2 weeks to get into cards, box, ship out and get to a shop.

In production can mean anything from millions available tomorrow, to one test wafer in the plant and 4 months away from real supply. WIth Fermi we're looking much closer to the later than the former.

That was really good, what nVidia has planned is amazing. The tesla technology in those tablets is a must have, esp the fact it runs for days and days without needing a charge even running games and video. Wow. Also liked the tech in the audi cars. With GF100 also in production, this is very exciting times. 3D also is interesting.

well thats something ati can't do already, eyefinity is stuck at 60hz, nevermind the 3D, ati can only do 1680x1050@120hz with a 2d clock workaround :p

he also said "volume" production for what its worth, but yeah that could mean anything

Was trying to find if there was a frame showing tearing to get an idea of the fps in that scene... but I guess they were using VSync.

there's a short video on youtube displaying the pc running the benchmark program and some nv rep stating Q1 2010 release. (sorry if posted already)

just search within youtube for 'fermi ces'

Gills.... My god could you be anymore an Nvidia fan boy! you constantly try to bait ppl with sarcastic comments unless they are saying Nvidia are the best in the world, you are sad and pathetic and need to get a life, now Plz do everyone a favor and crall back under the rock you came from.

They could have atleast showed it laying on a stand OUTSIDE the system. hopefully benchmarks will come out since people have seen the card is real :)

Sorry but what new stuff ? A few dx11 cards ?

I mean the 5750, 5770, 5850, 5870 and 5970, Eyefinity, DX11 support etc.

They were considerably ahead of nVidia this time around so it wouldn't be surprising that, only 3 months after a new product release they don't have much more to show off.

P.S. I'm an nVidia owner and perfectly happy with it, but unlike you I'm not biased towards one or the other.
