First Ride of 2011

Took the Mille out yesterday in the winter sunshine for the first ride of 2011. It's been a while!

Only went for a quick blat for about 30mins, but arrived home grinning like a Cheshire cat!

Roll on spring...!

It was nice and sunny yesterday but it was still quite cold in the shadow. I didn't take my bike for a ride but checked oil level, tyre pressure and lubed chain a bit.

Bare in mind I commute to work every day on my bike and I have only used public transport on 2 occasions so far due to heavy snow

so I am not really missing anything lol

I've laid mine up for now, mainly because of insurance renewal, guess I should be grateful as it gone up "only by £100", but that's £900 I could spend on track days instead.......

I have no doubt when it gets a bit warmer though I'll probably end up insuring the bikes again.

I had the second ride of 2011 yesterday, was actually really good fun, just a tad cold; but it didn't stop me

I think it's good tomorrow, so I think a ride into work is in order too!

Still ice outside here. I like the snow but when it get in the way of my DAS it a PITA.

I'll be lucky to get my Mille to start tbh, new battery as usual, required. After winter storage. The roads around here are still snowbound and icy. No way I'm venturing out until at least March. Yep, it's that bad round here.

Had my first ride of the year last week which was really good, once i got the engine to start after 40mins of trying. Hope to get out again tomorrow if weather permits.
