First time bike advise (125cc)

Right, decided to get me some 2 wheeled action before I feel too old to learn.
Having not riden a bike since high school motor vehical studies I'll be heading down the old CBT route.

I'm 6'3" and 17 stone, having looked at a few bikes I've pretty much ruled out any sports bike as I think I'd look totally bloody stupid on one due to size.
The 2 bikes I've been seriously considering are -

Honda VT Shadow (discontinued now but hoping to find new/nearly new at dealer) or
Suzuki Marauder

Both cruiser type bikes and having read some reviews of owners both come with pretty good reports. Seem to suit my needs quite well as I will want a user friendly bike thats fairly easy to ride and forgiving when a mistake is made.

Anyone have an opinion on those bikes ? Or have some suggestions as to what to look at

Know a few who have had the marauder! and they loved them! only bad point I heard was one had a bad chain but could have just been coincidence.

Are you just going to stick on a 125?

If you get the bug and want to do your DAS, then I'd suggest a CG125 (older) as it would be cheaper and not lose as much money when you wanted to sell it on.
Otherwise, the marauder sounds like a good plan.

I'm 6'4" and (over) 17st and I sat on the CG with no problems.
