First time of being properly wowed on my 360

Just downloaded Sega Rally Demo. Game itself is pretty pap, but being an Arcade racer vs a simulation is the be expected.

But the graphics fludidity (is this a word!) is top. The canyon level with the loose gravel being flung up and the general game depth draw distance etc is very very good.

I will not be buying the game as bored already after 2 goes don't like arcade games!

Anyone else played it and can comment on the gfx etc?

Dirt is a very good arcade Rally game, its graphically fantastic.
It just runs like a dog on PC and suffers slowdown on the 360.

It does however run fine on the PS3.

Downloaded this the other day, well the day i got my 360 back from M$ and the gfx are nice but didnt think too highly of the game altho i have to say i enjoyed it more than Dirt tbh. But its not a game that ill be buying anytime soon tbh.

The 1st time i was actually PROPER BIG TIME wowed was when i played the bioshock demo - the gfx and atmosphere are amazing, i still dont know why i aint bought the game lol

haha same here I was wow'ed by it.. yet still havent bought it! I think i'm alittle pee'ed off with the lack of replay and no multiplayer! What the hell were they thinking leaving multiplayer out of a FPS. They should be ashamed!

Will prob buy it when it drops in price tho

I know, the no MP situation is a bit of a let down...o well, bioshock 2 should be fun lol

Sega Rally really does look pathetic when compared to DIRT, the gameplay is poor too, i understand what they're trying to do, but it just doesnt work.....

DIRTs graphics are amazing.

I love and hate Dirt in equal measure

It looks great in every aspect and runs excellently (Q6600, 4GB and 8800GTX mind ) but some of the cars dont react as they should in any way and the physics is laughable (small plants being able to spin huge buggys etc)

The only thing DiRT has going for it is the visuals, and even then although they look nice, they run like **** most of the time. And don't get me started on the dire handling again.

Sega Rally is an example of how arcade rally physics should be: Slidey sideways fun, as apposed to DiRT's on rails God-awfull RC-car handling.

I think most people forget its an arcade racer and should be played accordingly.

Play the game in bumper cam and enjoy it far more! Whoever can say it plays bad is just being silly, awesome speed, nice drifts round corners, tire deformation that actually changes the way the car handles if you go across or in the marks, car bottoming out on heavily deformed mud. The sound is also very good. Great Framerates also.

If one game deserves a wheel its this game imo.

Maybe some people just dont like arcade racers or have forgotten how to play them.

I actually think the graphics are quite nice, they are bright, airy, colourfull and crisp. They are pure Sega arcade. The game runs very nicely too.

First time the 360 ever wow'd me was playing through CoD2, I thought it was amazing!

Probably looks pretty shabby when compared with todays 360 lineup, but when I first got it I was amazed.
