First watercooling build, need a "spec me".

My friend was telling me that WC is a bad idea, and that within 6months it'll definitely develop a leak, and it might kill my whole system.
Though he also says that about overclocking, and he says the antec 1200 is as good as any other case (even the Extended U2-UFO CYO lol!).
I hope he's talking a load of bull, 'cos I don't want my expensive rig to get drowned in a few months :O What are the actual chances of
having a bad leak? (I know that it's not as bad as my friend says it is:D)
 
If you put it together correctly & leak test, you should not get any leaks.
I have been doing this for years & have not had any leaks (killed a £200 PSU by dropping coolant in it but thats non leak related)
 
Should I get the back panel as a Duality? Being able to fit in 2 rigs is something worth paying for imo..
Plus I could hide my wires behind the second motherboard tray xD It only costs £21 extra...

That brings the case to £397..Plus watercooling, cable braiding and fans, comes to around £735 I think.
I really want to press the BUY BUTTON! I'll have enough funds on Thursday, but I need to keep 'em for
my little trip to brummy land...

If you feel that strongly about a duality, then go for it.
You will have to check to ensure you have two motherboard trays, as MM have a habit of not giving you everything you require.
They like to call it modular but I call it tight.
 
Hmm...my sister now owes me £135, and my mother owes me £175. I doubt I'll see any money off of either of them for a while!
Plus the HDD I was using for a build that set me back £370 (for a friend) is borked, so I'll have to RMA the HDD before I can
get the £370 off my friend :S Looks like this build
might be a couple of months in the making! Though I def won't do what Nath did, make a thread in the Project Logs section
then take 14months finishing it >.<
 
I think I'll order the rad now, before it goes out of stock on ocuk again.

*edit* and the pump too.

I'll have a sleep about it.
 
Will my Corsair HX650 be enough for this loop and all the fans that'l come with it? (I'm guessing 8 on the rad, and a few as case fans..)

I'm running an i7 @ 3.8ghz (at least for now), 2x Sapphire 5770, 6gb OCZ 1600mhz Reaper Memory, and just a single Samsung F3, and no dvd drive.
