first year driving...

I do ~7-9k a year depending on whats happening socially, most of the time im local so do very little maybe 10-15 miles a day, but occasionally i do 300-400 mile trips to see family but thats only 3-4 times a year.

Like others have said figure out what you do daily, multiply by 365 + 20% extra. Should give you plenty, if you start to get close to that number, part way through the year, notify your insurance company.

I work for insurethebox and can assure everyone it does the things that conventional insurers do – plus a whole lot more. The extra miles insurethebox awards every month for careful driving are in addition to, not instead of, the no-claims bonuses that you would expect to get. Customers can also use our ShoppingBox - an on-line shopping mall with over 4,000 high street names. Buying through ShoppingBox is another way to earn more insurance miles - the more you buy the more extra miles you get. We do not claim to be for everyone, but low-mileage drivers usually find us competitive. By enabling you to pay for only for the miles you need, we make it easier to control costs. Why not just give as a try? Mark Baylis

I did around 12k in my first year, that was an average of 40 miles a day for work and a couple of trips to cormwall (360miles each way).. it soon adds up. I put down 8k miles on the policy and never thought anything of it!
