Just an ebay special, but it works:

Forgot to get a pic of the actual filter, but it just looks like any other cone filter, and sits infront of the wheel well behind the splash guards. I'll probably get an AEM hydrosheild for the filter to be a bit safer.

The noise it makes is amazing, throaty lower down, and just awesome in vtec, sounds just like a touring car :D

Feels a bit quicker too, but that's probably just a placebo effect because of the noise. As long as I haven't lost power I'm happy ;)

And whilst I had the camera out, a quick pic of it with the new wheels:

I'll get some better pics of it when I can be arsed, that pic doesn't do it justice. It has an edgy 'abuse me' look to it, I love it.

I hate to be the local idiot, but Whats a CAI and what does it do?

Cold Air Intake - does what it says on the tin.

Looking good Ben - what happened to not modding eh? ;)

Cold Air Intake, there will be aprrox. 300 posts to follow, saying ZOMG don't drive through puddles!!!;):p

Love the new wheels btw.

CAI - Cold Air Intake.

Basically a pipe that places the air-filter out of the engine bay to get cold fresh air.

:o

Will the piping not get hot after a while (especially in traffic) and cause the air coming in to heat up so you lose power (Although it does look nice)?

Drex, just replace the actual cone with any K&N. The ebay piping looks fine.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that. I'll get an AEM Hydrosheild at the same time.

I've got a cold air box sitting right next to my engine which houses a large foam filter.

Now, the front of the box is open to allow air to get into the filter but the rest of the box (engine side) is shielding the filter.

If after a spirited drive you open the bonnet, the actual air box will be warm, but the filter remains stone cold :)

I've not noticed any problems sitting in traffic either. Certainly not noticed the car bogging down.

Looks great DreX. The bends look nicely done. Can't complain for an eBay special :)

I'm a fan of black wheels but that really doesn't suit it.

I think they're the really light ones, looks might not be the main reason he bought them, I do prefer white wheels on a CW car but I do think they look good.

Like I said, that pic doesn't really do it justice. I much prefer them to the white wheels I had before.

I think black wheels suit Intgras more than any other car TBH, but hey, we all have our own tastes :)

Ther are very light, but so were the SSR's I had already, these are about 1-2kg lighter again each. Looks was the main reason though, I really like black wheels on white Hondas.

Drexel check this video out mate:

Shows just how capable a car yours is in the right hands, the driver is street racing against another dc2 and an EVO! The driver is apparantly a professional race car driver in China and has won championships etc. He has 3 people in the car, himself, a passenger next to him and someone in the back filming and still manages to keep up/overtake with all that weight :)

Atleast brake dust won't be quite as visible:cool:

That is a huge advantage TBH, white was a nightmare for that. It took precisely 30 seconds for them to get covered in brake dust after cleaning them, and it made the whole car look dirty.

Now the dirt and dust just doesn't show on the wheels atall, and the whole car looks cleaner for longer.
