Hi all.

My mum needs a kitchen and my brother is willing to pay up to 1500 for it. Can it be done for that much, just needs units, the flooring done, walls done.

Any idea of reputable businesses that do it cheap in the north east?

Brother was going to diy along with my cuson. But jobs in the way. Past 10 years or so nothing on walls, only last few years has it had a new ceiling with spot lights installed, new electric cooker with extractor thing above it and some plugs in the wall fitted.

Walls need plastering better so all smooth (just patch job so far) floor needs laying some lino down, new kitchen sink unit and the rest is just cabinets to buy and fit.

But asked bro about it and hes willing to pay 1500 to get it done as he doesnt wana do it the diy way any more. As its taking too long and no motivation.

I don't think it could be done unless its really small kitchen.

I'd agree, I know up north the kitchens can be small but even doing it yourself you're going to struggle to get it to £1500.

You could probably get 'free' fitting on the lino depending on the shop but getting a plaster isn't cheap, they're about £25+ an hour here and just a plain skim is likely a 'days' work. So you might as well say £250-500 is gone just on these depending on size like mentioned above.

Then there's the units, some online stores (they've been mentioned on here but can't remember name) are cheaper.
