Getting a Wireless N router, and looking to upgrade the onboard Wireless G card currently in my laptop, so ordered an Intel 5300 card from Ebay.

My current card has 2 antenna wires attached to it, but the 5300 can have 3 attached to it, is the wire I've highlighted in the following picture my 3rd antenna wire? Cheers in advance.

Card arrived today, but I'm having problems getting it up and running now!

Card installed fine, connected the 3 antennae, (does it make any difference which order I connect them in?), booted into Windows 7, automatically installed drivers, unable to connect to network!

Tried Microsoft, Intel, and Dell drivers with varying degrees of annoyance, some give a Code 10 error, some show no card installed, some show the card but can't connect to the network, not good! :(

Anyone got any ideas please?

What wireless router do you have? I know there is some issues with the Intel wireless N cards and some Belkin Routers. Have you updated your router to the latest firmware?

I'm using an Edimax EW-7416APN v2.0a 802.11n Wireless Access Point, not tried updating it yet, but that's the next step, cheers for the reply. :)
