So I'm trying to fit the ExtremeMusic into one of the PCI slots on my P5KC, but it just like, goes in half way then I can't push it in any further. I'm using a P182. I'm trying to fit it into the second PCI slot down on the board, but it just won't fully go in.. The end of the faceplate is slightly bent outwards, could this be causing it? Although it looks like it's supposed to be bent.. But I can't see why?

Anyone got any help? I assume it should just slot in straight away.. But maybe I'm wrong

Cheers

Sounds like the PCI backplate on the card is catching on something. A lot of cases have slots for the bottom of the backplate to locate into. If you miss it you won't be able to get the card to slot in fully.

That probably what is what's happening, but I'm not entirely sure why.. I'm sure I'm fitting it in correctly, but I just cna't seem to get it to go in

This is the bit that's bent slightly outwards, I can't tell if it's meant to be or not from the photo:

Some cards have a slight bend in them to aid with slotting them as you put it in at a slight angle and then rotate it slightly into the socket.

When you're putting it in, you want that bit to slot into the corresponding slot on the motherboard tray if your case has got one.

It's IN! Basically I wasn't pushing hard enough I think, didn't realise that you really had to ram it in hard. Cheers for the help, have a good christmas :)
