Fixing kerbed alloy rims..?

I’ve scuffed my front alloy wheel again, it’s now starting to look very shabby as I’ve kerbed them a few too many times now. Really need to get this tidy looking again as the front wheel rims are starting to make the car look shabby.

Not looking for anything “concourse” just get this fixed. The wheels are gunmetal alloy, and both have heavy kerb marks, the left one is so bad the lacquer is now bubbling up in places. Shame, car is only 3 years old, but that’s what you get for parking next to kerbs EVERY single day.

They will get scuffed again, but I’d like to get them fixed if possible. Anyone know of a good mobile detailer that can fix 17” rims and don’t cost the earth? I’ve got car medic coming to fix a bumper soon as someone drove into this and took all the paint off in some sections, wonder if they can also refurb alloy wheels, but like to get some views from here. I know mobile aren’t as good as shop, but I can't afford to be without a car as the front wheels are in the shop for a few days.

id suggest against the DIY kits. taking it to a garage and doing it properly will cost from anywhere between £25 and £50-ish depending where you are in the country and the make of alloy. If youve got some money to lose then id go for it otherwise if youre keeping the car, dont do it just yet... chances are you'll only just kerb them again then you'll kick yourself!!

Spoken for truth... LOL. Yep, I'll only kerb the fronts again, what with kerbs at work, outside the house, when I park at my bro's etc.... Little wonder they are getting knackered up.

£100 for them both isn't too bad, but I'm keeping the car anyhow. Perhaps your right, not worth it actually... Thanks

Try speaking to your local wicked wheels rep. www.wickedwheels.co.uk

Not sure if they can do gunmetal finish but they'll soon let you know what they can and can't do for how much. They do come out to you tho which makes it easy and they are normally excellent in finish.

Hmm... Might just have to take my wheels off and take them to some shop if I want to get this fixed up, as mobile looks a little pricey...
