Where I live the water is hard. Infact not just hard its stupidly ****** hard.

This makes washing your car an absolute nightmare. Even trying to keep the car wet and working as quickly as you possibly can you still get watermarks. Not just of the quick wipe over with a damp shammy variety either, real hard baked on white rings :(

The only thing I've found that does the job is the Flash Car Wash Sysetem with its "Auto-dry" trickery. Even then a cartridge that is meant to do 10 washes lasts 4 at most.

Problem is that I'm finding the cartridges and shampoo really hard to come by. I'm ok for cartridges at the moment as I cleared out the local Morrisons when they were knocking them out for 99p but I'm out of shampoo. Everywhere that used to stock it has phased it out :(

Therefore I need an alternative. I remember my mum watching QVC years ago and they had a product that attached to your hose that stopped water marks. Whether A) it worked and B) how long such a product would last I have no idea and I can't say I've ever seen anything like this on my travels.

Help me fight the watermarks!

Fit a water softener to your house mate, the water round here is really hard too and oh my god its amazing to never worry about chalk build up in any of my appliances. Would solve the car issue also.

Well its sods law isn't it. I've spend weeks keeping my eye out for some, whack a post on here after having no luck then the same day I find the shampoo for £1.99 and the cartridges for 50p! Stocked up nicely now!

Will look into this when it gets to new boiler time along with a switch to a combi and losing the water tank. Hopefully that won't be for a looong time yet :p
