Hi So need some advice. I rarely use Fleabay, however i thought i'd take advantage of the £1 final value fee.

So I sold a CPU - The buyer received the CPU, and within an hour of doing so, concluded it was faulty after testing it in 2 Machines/ram/psu etc etc. I Knew the CPU to be fully working, and it was packaged extremely well.

Now he claims the CPU works in his flat mates pc but not his... and due to this it's FAULTY, He's asked for a partial refund - I've refused. I then offered to accept a return providing the Serial numbers match. The guy then stated he would take £20 or he would have to " contact Ebay " and threated with Negative feedback ( couldn't care less as i won't sell on there again ). Now I've stood my ground and asked him to open a return he's yet to do so, my only worry is A) he doesn't return the correct item, or B) opens a return 6 months down the line.

He lives not so far from me - I offered to come collect it in person/ Troubleshoot. It's clear he is at it - Upon checking his feedback it was all positive ( i'm guessing buyers can't leave negative according to reddit ) so it's probably masking the other few attempts at this.

It sounds petty but i hate vermin who abuse/defaud people of money. I feel out of pocket due to RMSD postage should the return go through - If ( hopefully ) when i get the cpu back, is there anyway to claim this back of him if found not to be faulty?

excuse the grammar, I'm dyslexic.

First tell him you've security marked the CPU, even if you haven't. Then tell him to waste his time and contact eBay who will just tell him to return the item for a full refund anyway. Then let him know that you won't be selling on eBay again, as your experience with him has put you off - therefore any negative feedback will be a further waste of his time.

Thanks man - He's " Decided to keep the CPU as it's a waste of his time to return it .... " I Guess that's me and EBAY finished! lol
