Need to book flights from Korea to Bangkok for my new years celebration. Unfortunately every half decent price I find, I cant get it because I only have a debit card with me. They all seem to want credit cards and the holder must be present at time of checkin or something to that effect. Any ideas?

*Specifically its a Maestro

Personally, given what has happened lately, I wouldn't dare pay with a debit card.

If its a Visa debit card then it offers simalar protection to a credit card, however Shicky's Maestro is not protected.

But as Scuzi a booking site is a good idea, Expedia offer flights from most places.

The sites like lastminute.com etc are offering prices basically a hundred pounds more than others i've found on thaiairways.com. Unfortunately as im in korea, it compounds the misery as so far I cant get in touch with anybody english speaking or korean

Can you tell us your dates / and airports please.

(and current best price)

29th December Seoul (incheon) to Bangkok(BKK) - 515k won ( around £250)

It appears the last economy tickets may have gone however....fighting to control rage. Still a day later they are still around that price

No luck sorry, as you say its kinda sold out or massively more expensive then your price.

Can you get a friend / relative to book using their card?

OP says that the card holder must be present at check-in.
Could be worth speaking to the airlines though if you can find one that can speak English or Korean.
