It's about 4 miles by cab to Haboken as suggested by Simon, for example.
Hmm, seems a bit far out - especially if you need to pop back to the hotel during the day if you're doing sightseeing.
Lol, I don't mind the distances, I do the same in HK, 15min further up from Kowloon in a 4 star hotel at £90 a night.
Hoboken is the place to go out I found whilst I was there. Manhattan is too touristy and spread out unless you trek down to the meat packer district.
How did it work out? I always see great prices on AirBnB but not tried it out yet.
I reckon staying in the SoHo area would be kind of cool - not too far from the Meatpacker district too.
How can I book economy on the way out and premium economy on the way back?
Or do I need to book 2 separate single flights? I just want to see the price difference. The flight back is a Boeing 777 as well so PE might be better if its a good price.

Just upgrade at the desk when you get there, it'll be miles cheaper

TBH sometimes I think that I actually prefer Club World (Business) on the upper deck to First down on the lower deck. Upper deck feels more private, and can be quieter.

I think it may in a window rear facing seat, I go for the aisle ones.
Best so far was definately the A380 business class to Sydney on Quantus but this is nothing compared to Singapore Airlines apparently
Yep, in a head to toe arrangement. Actually works quite well (with privacy screens as well) except in some seats where the person by the window needs to get out over the aisle persons legs.
Well, I've booked it.
That came to £519, London <-> New York return is £494. So basically it works out cheaper this way with 3 flights v 4.
Will look for a single 1 way internal flight later on.
