Floating idea - Lan Party - November - In Private Hotel - Wales

I've been thinking and looking and then thinking again.

Getting down would be easy enough by train (leave Canterbury ~10:25am and arrive at Carmarthen ~16:45pm) only leaving the trip from the station to the hotel.

Getting back is a little bit more complicated. No trains Sunday afternoon/evening. I would need to do one of two things:
1) Get from the hotel to Carmarthen for a 2:40am train on Monday 12th,
OR
2) Leave early afternoon Saturday for a 15:00pm train back.

You may be my saviour if Psymonkee can't go Mark. I'm looking for a lift. Would have PC+Monitor+Consoles and you wouldn't have far to go to pick me up :p

Share fuel costs obviously. Let me know!

Just waiting on hols confirmation coming back :)

If I do go based on opinions from someone else... I may be going part way on the Thursday and stopping overnight to break it up a little - need to have a decent look at route planning - 425 miles for me.....

Failing that convoy!! :D

If im able to go, your welcome to drive over to where we live, and park your car at my house, collect it on the way back, i was a rep for 7 years, so doing 370 miles in a day isnt a problem.

Thanks for the offer - certainly consider it :)

I can do the mileage in a day no probs (inc rep like speeds) It's just the fact that I'm a lazy bugger and don't really know Wales at all :)

I fionish work at 5pm tomorrow so I can study the routes and stuff then and calculate my own journey time from that :)

I have 2 friends who are really interested in coming, both Xbox360 owners.
Could you please let me know how many spaces are left UE?

M8 until confirmations fill up its a free for all tbh only kreeee fully paid confirmation so far

im reserving spots for paulTSG and McD regaurdless as i speak to them more frequently also psymonkee cos i wouldnt pull the rug out after he's gone to all the trouble, but other than that it really is down to speed of action.

We have a total of:-

3 family rooms (sleep 3)
3 Twins rooms
3 doubles
1 flat for overspill will sleep a double or single + twin
1 single on its own

So far kreee and nokkon have a twin (or family if they add another), or nokkon could share with other 2 and someone else will share with kreee

Gotta get confirmations to make this stuff concrete, get onto paypal :D

It's going to have to be a later train on Monday if I do come. I might not even be in work in November anyway (in contract work at the moment).

Ill let you know by Sunday Windle, whether im able to go or not, im currently suffering from an extreme case of bird flu, and feel too ill to broach the subject of a boys weekend with my wife until i am in a better state to argue my point. :)
